Patent of technology for preventing germination on panicle of rice
The team led by Academician Tuan-Hua David Ho developed the use of an abscisic acid signal transduction factor, FCA, for regulating rice seed germination. Ectopic expression of FCA can effectively reduce the damages caused by premature rice germination before harvest. This technology has been granted a US patent in 2018.
